Pin

 

 

In a simple language, you are said to be creating a pin on your opponent chessman when you attack it along the ‘file’, ‘rank’ or a ‘diagonal’. This literary freezes the pinned chessmen as moving the same will allow you to capture the more valuable piece placed behind it. pinning can be done only by ‘Queen’, ’Rook’ and Bishop.

 

There are two types of pin they are:

  • Related pin
  • Absolute pin
